On this day you will get to know the historic city of Lima, which was founded on January 18, 1535 by the conqueror Francisco Pizarro and was considered, for almost three centuries, as the Vice-Royal Capital of South America. This fantastic city is nowadays an immeasurable mix of cultures, ethnicities, races and bloods. A festival of colors and customs, an immense wealth of folklore and Creole, between the ancient and the modern.
We first visit Lima’s Historical Center, which was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1988, and a Cultural Patrimony in 1991. Then, we will visit the colonial sites of the Plaza Mayor, the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Archibishop’s Palace. Right after we visit the San Francisco Monastery and Catacombs.
We continue to modern section and visit the suburbs of San Isidro and Miraflores. On our way we will pass by the Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca pyramid shaped temple. We will visit the Parque del Amor (Lovers Park) and enjoy refreshing views of the Pacific Ocean as we drive down to the Miraflores Malecon, a road overlooking the ocean.
Afterwards return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

This morning transfer to the Lima airport for your flight to the heart of the Andean Mountains or “Cordillera de los Andes del Peru” which is Huaraz, the capital of this Andean adventure kingdom where you can see one of the most impressive mountain ranges in the world, that you will have the chance to visit in the next days.
From the plain you will have impressive views of the Andean Mountains’ magnificence.
Reception and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure acclimatizing to the altitude.

We drive from Huaraz along the southern Callejón de Huaylas Valley across the picturesque towns of Recuay, Ticapampa and Catac. We arrive to Querococha Lake (3,980 m.a.s.l), which is surrounded by native quenual trees. Then continue to the Cordillera Blanca to visit Chavín de Huántar that developed between 1500 and 300BC. Chavin is one of the earliest and best known pre-Columbian sites and represents the more important expression of the arts and decorative construction techniques of its time. It is believed the Chavin were primarily a religious based society.
Chavin was designated a UNESCO world heritage in 1985.

After breakfast we set off driving along the amazing Callejón de Huaylas Valley watered by the Santa River and located between the Cordillera Blanca and the Cordillera Negra mountain ranges. En route we visit the picturesque towns of Carhuaz -which offers colorful Indian markets-, Mancos and Yungay. Then enjoy the spectacular views as we ascend the slopes of the Cordillera Blanca. Be in awe with the snow peaks such as Huascarán (6.768mt) and Huandoy (6,395mt) form the granite walls of this U-shaped glacial-eroded canyon with its two green turquoise Llanganuco lakes.
This puts us in the heart of the Huascarán Biosphere Reserve, which surrounds Huascaran, the highest peak in Peru. This environment includes glaciers, ravines, and pristine lakes, and the park is home to regional animals such as spectacled bears, condors, vicunas and tarucas. Also, has a unique biodiversity of plants and trees.
The Huascaran National Park was designated by UNESCO a world heritage in 1985.
After a glorious visit we return to Huaraz.

This morning after breakfast, we set of to Trujillo. On the way, we will stop at Casma Province of Ancash Region to visit the Sechin archeological site dating back to 1600BC.
This archaeological site, built from the base with enormous stones, some weighing more than ten metric tons, had a political-religious function. It has a main building in which there is an area of conical adobe bricks, and there are another two buildings and two platforms to the sides of the complex.
Then continue to Trujillo and check into your hotel.

In the morning your guide will meet you in your hotel to do the city tour and visit the National University of Trujillo Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History (Museo de Arqueología, Antropología and History de la Universidad National de Trujillo).
In the city tour you will visit the main square in Trujillo which is called Plaza de Armas, then you will visit the shopping street of Pizarro, La Plazoleta de Recreo (recreation square), the Emancipation House and the cathedral.
We will continue to the Museum, checking out its interesting collection of artifacts and other archaeological objects from Peru’s pre- Hispanic cultures. See such pieces as jewelry, ceramics and feather mosaics. Return to your hotel.
You will have the rest of the day for free to explore on your own and do some shopping, Trujillo is well known for its footwear industry.

After breakfast we drive to Huaca de la Luna, an adobe mud pyramid made by the Moche culture (100 – 750 AC) which is decorated with mural paintings that represent their main deity, Ai–Paec, known as the Decapitator. We visit the monument and its interesting on-site museum.
We continue to visit the beach town Huanchaco, where fishermen have fished with reed boats called Caballitos De Totora, made since pre-Inca times. With time for a delicious lunch and to relax on the beach, we then visit Chan Chan, the capital de Chimú dynasty (1200 a 1470 AC) and the largest mud clay city of America.
Afterwards we visit the Huaca Arco Iris and Huaca ‘El Dragón’, an important ceremonial site in Chan Chan.
Chan Chan was designated by UNESCO a world heritage in 1986. After our visit return to your hotel.

We start the day with an hour drive to Huaca el Brujo. This splendid monumental adobe pyramid was used by different cultures during the Moche period (100 – 750 AC) and where Lady of Cao lived, the first female emperor of Peru (100 AC). The mural paintings are very intact and the site museum contains remains and belongings of Lady Cao.
We continue on to Chiclayo with time for lunch on the way. In the evening we visit the center of Chiclayo and its herbal market, a place where the traditional shamans still buy their herbs.
We later visit Santa Rosa a small fishing village and we will finish in Pimentel, where fishermen also use the famous Caballitos de Totora.

Today we visit to the archaeological site of Túcume where we will see 26 truncated pyramids up to 35 meters high, which were built by the Lambayeque culture (800-1470 AC).
We visit the splendid Tumbas Reales museum that houses the tomb of the Lord of Sipán, the most important archeological discovery in Latin America in the last 30 years.
We have time for lunch in Lambayeque. After lunch you visit Sipan, where the tomb of the Lord of Sipan was discovered. The Lord ruled around 200 AD over the Moche culture, and his gold-laden tomb is considered to be the richest in the Americas.
We then visit the site of Huaca Rajada (the tomb of the Lord of Sipán) where lie the remains of a Mochica leader, only recently discovered in 1987.

This morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima. Arrive and our staff will be waiting to transfer you to the bus terminal to Nazca. Today we will take a 7-hour bus ride to get to know this enigmatic site next morning.
The Nazca civilization flourished on the southern coast of Peru between 200 BCE and 600 CE. They settled in the Nazca and other surrounding valleys with their principal religious and urban sites being Cahuachi and Ventilla, respectively. The culture is noted for its distinctive pottery, textiles, and the geoglyphs made on the desert floor known as Nazca lines.
Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

This morning transfer to the airport for the over flight of the mysterious Nazca Lines. These designs are believed to have been made by the Nazca Culture between 400 and 650AD. Be in awe with the mysterious lines of animals such as a monkey, hummingbird, plants, and geographic shapes. The Nazca Lines were declared by UNESCO a world heritage in 1994.
Afterwards, return to your hotel and relax or walk around town. Board your night bus to Arequipa.

Today we will tour the Historical center of Arequipa delegated by UNESCO as a world heritage in 2000.
We will visit the Main Square and the Compañia Church known for its beautiful baroque style and its Cupola of Saint Ignacio. Then we drive to the town of Yanahuara to catch spectacular views over Arequipa and it volcanoes of Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu. From there we visit the famous Santa Catalina Monastery of nuns.
Return to your hotel.
Arequipa is also famous for its delicious and very varied gastronomy, you cannot miss the chance to try their typical food in a traditional restaurant or “picanteria”.

This morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco, once the capital of the Incas Empire where you will learn more about the Andean culture as the city itself represents the center of indigenous Quechua culture.
After you arrive our staff will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel.
In the afternoon your guide will meet you to visit the Inca city delegated by UNESCO as a world heritage in 1983.
First we will visit the Cathedral of Cusco on the Plaza de Armas and continuously the temple of Qoricancha, also known as the temple of the Sun. After these visits, we will continue to the upper part of Cusco to visit several archaeological sites. The first stop will be at Sacsayhuaman, a ceremonial complex of the Incas. We will also visit Qenqo, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay. At the end, we will return to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel.
Note: In private service you will first have a tour by foot through the city, visiting Qoricancha the Inca Sun Temple, the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral, enjoying the atmosphere of the city by observing the well-preserved colonial architecture that conserves Incas original stone walls, evidence of a rich and complex history. We will continue our way until we get to San Pedro Central Market where the locals shop for Andean grains, fruits, natural medicine plants and more. Afterwards, drive up above Cusco for a visit of the spectacular Sacsayhuaman Inca complex with stupendous stonework, Qenko a place of rituals and then we will visit the house of Sulca to see the lovely textiles made by hand.

This will be a full day tour where you will enjoy the varied landscapes of the beautiful Río Urubamba Valley, known as “Valle Sagrado de los Incas”, along the way we can see attractive colonial towns and isolated villages of indigenous communities that continue their tradition for weaving, pottery and agriculture. Main attractions will be the handicraft markets and the lofty Inca citadels of Pisac and Ollantaytambo, it is definitely the perfect match between a cultural experience, the andean sunlight and delicious typical food.
We will visit first the famous Pisac Colorful Indian market to see the handicrafts and taste delicious empanadas baked in huge typical ovens. Afterwards, continue to the Pisac ruins above the town for a visit of the Sun Temple and admire the many surrounding terraces. We will continue to Urubamba to enjoy lunch, then off to one of the original Inca towns of Ollantaytambo to be amazed by the ruins that sit in front of the quaint town. After a wonderful day you will return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the night.

This morning you will ride on the train from Ollantaytambo with breathtaking views to Aguas Calientes. You will check into your hotel and then take the bus to the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.
In your way up to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu you will have spectacular views from the Mountains and the typical flora and fauna of the mysterious Cloud Forest. It is highly recommended to have lunch in Sanctuary Lodge Restaurant located in the entrance of the Citadel, enjoying the atmosphere of this magical place and then have a quiet guided tour after noon, with less crowds and the chance to see the amazing sunrise.
With your Official guide you will visit the enigmatic Citadel of Machu Picchu following a specific route where you will walk through the different sectors such as the Urban and Ceremonial and other places of interest. You will also have time for taking memorable pictures. We are sure that this will be a unique experience!
The Citadel of Machu Picchu was declared by UNESCO a world heritage in 1983. It is believed to have been built in the 15th century and abandoned by the Inca Empire when the Spaniards conquered them. The locals always knew about the ruins and some locals lived around it. The ruins were brought to the world’s attention in 1911. Visit the Sun Temple, the Room of the Three Windows, the Royalty sector and more.
Note: New regulations have been stablished for the visit to Machu Picchu since 2019, according to these statements there are certain schedules for the visit, with the Machu Picchu ticket you can stay 4 hours as maximum in the Citadel. This short trek inside the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu will make your day spectacular! You will hike up through Inca’s original paths that will lead you towards magical places within the Cloud Forest. With every step you will get fascinated by the beautiful views of the famous Andean Mountains. You can have a taste of the real Inca Trail doing this trek and appreciate the architectonic magnificence of the Incas. You have to see it with your own eyes!
**Return to Aguas Calientes and enjoy lunch on your own. Then board your train to the Poroy station. Private transfer to your hotel in Cusco.

There are schedules for the visit to one of the Mountains, with the Machu Picchu + Huayna Picchu tickets you can stay inside the Park for 6 hours and with the Machu Picchu + Machu Picchu Mountain Peak ticket for 7 hours maximum. The visit for one of the mountains has a moderate grading that requires a good physical condition although effort is well worth it.
