Commitment to Improving Education for Children in Peru

Chaska Tours not only promises to exceed traveler’s vacation expectations, we are also committed to improving children’s education in under resourced communities in Peru. Our holistic approach to children’s education increases access to technology and utilizes innovative teaching techniques to improve learning. This includes bringing tablet devices, such as ipads, to classrooms without access to technology. We are also aim to integrate into the current curriculum techniques such as accelerated learning and mind mapping along with daily respiration and meditation.

We are currently working with Picaflor House to improve technology access for children in Oropesa (45 minutes from the city of Cusco) by providing 10 ipads for their after school education program. Oropesa is a farming and breadmaking community. Families are very low income and the children in this community lack access to the internet, libraries and other educational resources.

Access to technology through ipads at Picaflor House will supplement the currently under resourced public education that students receive in Oropesa. The devices will be used to facilitate math and literacy comprehension and teach students English. By connecting students to technology, they are connected with the outside world and empowered in their personal and professional endeavors.
We invite you to join us in improving education for impoverished children in Peru.
