Day 1 Arrival in Lima
Arrive in Lima. Upon arrival in Lima, transfer to your Hotel and check in. *Please collect your Chaska Tours holiday hotel vouchers that will be waiting for you at the reception desk of the Hotel.

Day 2 Lima Culinary Tour
This morning we will start tasting Peru.
Our first visit takes us to a local roastery, Tostaduria Bisetti, where they hand-pick the coffee beans daily, for an organic Peruvian coffee. We will visit the colonial streets of the bohemian district, Barranco, home to artists, musicians and the city’s top art galleries. Enjoy an exotic fruit smoothie made from lucuma at the garden cafe, La Bodega Verde. Then off to a traditional market in the San Isidro district to try exotic fruits and local products and learn about its culture.
We continue to the city’s top seafood restaurants (cebichería), Embarcadero 41 Fusión, where you will discover the secrets to the perfect Cebiche and Pisco Sour. You will prepare the cebiche dish and cocktail yourself with the head chef and bartender. Our final stop is for lunch at la Huaca Pucllana, a restaurant within a pre-Incan archeological complex – undoubtedly a highlight of tourism in Lima Peru. Savor a variety of gourmet Peruvian dishes as well as four different desserts and another pisco-based cocktail. Return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 03 Cusco – Walking tour
Transfer to airport. Flight Lima/Cusco. Upon arrival transfer to Cusco center.
In the morning you will relax and acclimatize. In the afternoon your guide will meet you in your hotel to start your walking tour in the Capital of the Inca Empire. Stroll on the cobble stones passing narrow streets with Inca stones. We will visit the Cathedral in the Plaza de Armas built on top of an Inca temple. Then continue walking passing by local shops feeling the ambiance and soul of the city. We visit Qoricancha the most important and most revered in the Inca Empire. The Spaniards tore it down and used its remains to build the Church of Santo Domingo on the site. We continue our walk to the vibrant San Pedro market where the locals shop for Andean grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, medicinal plants and more. En route you will admire the locals selling food or handicrafts in the street. Afterwards, we continue by transportation to the megalithic site of Sacsayhuaman with enormous stone work, and then to Qenko believed to have been used for rituals and human sacrifice. Return to your hotel.

Day 04 Sacred Valley and special Andean Cuisine in an Andean Community with Pisac Ruins.
This morning we will drive to the Sacred Valley arriving in the indigenous community around 9:30am. Reception by the locals and start our cultural experience. We will be put in groups with guides and learn how to prepare and ancient delicious Pachamanca meal that is prepared in the ground. Then we will feast on this unique buffet prepared by our host. After our typical Andean lunch we will enjoy a weaving demonstration using ancient techniques where they explain the different natural dyes made of natural plants, insects, and minerals. Then we will dress in the ancestral dress and dance their farewell ancestral dance called the Cacharpari. We will say farewell and continue to the Pisac ruins for a visit of the Sun Temple and catch spectacular views of the valley below and admire the many terraces. We will continue our journey passing through small Andean villages in the Sacred Valley of the Incas with spectacular views of the mountain range until reaching our hotel.

Day 05 Sacred Valley – Indigenous community (106 Km from the City of Cusco)
Today we will visit an indigenous community native of Cusco to enjoy their culture and lifestyle. You will admire that the community people their children continue to wear their colorful typical dress and live at almost 4000 m.s.n.m,, in houses made of stones and adobe with straw roofs. Their economy is based on on farming, hunting, agriculture, weaving and now tourism. The melody of their music is so profound, connecting you to the spirits of the mountains and the past. They practice Andean religion that is based on a cosmo vision that differs from other Peruvians whom live in villages and large cities.
These inhabitants respect Mother earth, “Pachamama” and the spirits of the mountains which are the guardians.
You will choose from their many activities to share. We guarantee that you will be pleased to be here sharing with the people of this community. After, we will share a delicious typical Andean meal prepared by you and the women of the same community.
To close this day , in the twilight of the evening, we will participate in a beautiful offering to Mother Earth which will be led by Willaq Uma or Sumo Sacerdote of the community. We will give thanks to our creator and Mother Earth “Pachamama” for this amazing day of learning that surely transcended us to the past.
We close this day with the community's music and typical dance, where we will dance along with them.
This will be an unforgettable day!

Day 06 Indigenous community/Sacred Valley
Today we will wake up early in the morning, almost at the same time as the community people to help in their day to day activities. Breathe in the fresh crisp mountain air and energize ourselves with our Sun (Tayta Inti).
Later on we will have a delicious andean breakfast and bid farewell to the community people. We will continue our journey to Machupicchu, the Sanctuary of the Incas.
En route we will visit the Inca town of Ollantaytambo and stroll the Inca streets and visit the archeological site.
Thereafter, we will have free time to have lunch on your own. Afterwards, transfer to the train station in the same town to board our train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival the hotel staff will be waiting to walk us to your chosen hotel.
Overnight in Aguas Calientes - Machupicchu.
Day 07 Machupicchu
We start early, taking breakfast and then with our guide we take the bus up to the citadel of Machu Picchu in time to catch the magnificent sunrise. Our professional guide will slowly show you around the main areas, recounting myths and legends passed down over the centuries and explain about some of the advanced building techniques the Incas used. After your tour you will have plenty of time to look around maybe do some of the other treks which are available in the surrounding mountains. The rest of the day is free. (Round trip bus tickets and entrance into the Sanctuary is included)

Day 8 Machupicchu
Free morning in Machupicchu.?Optional: 7:00 - 8:00am or 10:00 - 11:00am hike to Huayna Picchu (option) and time to explore Machu Picchu. Today you have free time to return on your own to Machu Picchu Sanctuary and explore the site. *** (Round trip bus tickets and entrance into the Sanctuary plus entry for Huayna Picchu is optional and not included.) or you can choose to visit the waterfalls at Mandor or take the adrenaline climb of Putucusi mountain.
***If you have chosen the Inkaterra Machupicchu Pueblo hotel you can opt to do one of the various included. excursions on the hotel grounds which include bird-watching, orchid and nature hikes with specialist guides.
*Please make sure you check out of you hotel before you leave for the Sanctuary and that you pick up your luggage and are at the train station half an hour before your train’s departure. Please disembark the train in Ollantaytambo or Poroy station were our representative awaits to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco (we will confirm you the train station).

Optional. Lunch in the solidarity restaurant of the association “Casa Aldea Yanapay”. After that we recomend you to visit the humanitarian projects of La Casa Hogar de San Pedro or Casa Aldea Yapanay.

* La Casa Aldea Yanapay, is a shelter for deprived children, that helps troubled children with games, listening and creative activities. Many are victims of the consequences of alcoholism and abuse. Day 10 Cusco/Lima - City Tour – International flight
Morning transfer to Cusco airport for your flight to Lima.
On arrival to Lima our representative will collect you from the exit gate and you should head straight over to leave your luggage in airport storage. From there you will be transferred to the drop off pick up point in Miraflores in front of the Marriott Hotel. You have free time for lunch. In the afternoon you will be collected from in front of Marriott hotel for your guided Lima city tour in shared. After tour you will be dropped back to Marriott Hotel were you have free time until your evening scheduled transfer returning to the airport for your international flight.
* Today we will visit Lima’s Historical Center, which was declared a World Heritage by Unesco in 1988, and a Cultural Patrimony in 1991. We will visit the colonial sites of the Plaza Mayor, the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Archibishp’s Palace. Then visit the San Francisco Monastery and Catacombs.
We continue to modern section and visit the suburbs of San Isidro and Miraflores. On our way we will pass by the Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca pyramid shaped temple. We will visit the Parque del Amor (Lovers Park) and enjoy refreshing views of the Pacific Ocean as we drive down to the Miraflores Malecon, a road overlooking the ocean.
After that, Transfer to the airport for your international flight.
