Highlights of Peru
We start our trip with a relaxing afternoon at the beautiful beach resort in Paracas,a visit to the "small Galapagos", then we continue to the enigmatic Nazca lines, the white city of Arequipa and finally a chance to spot condors in the Colca Canyon.
In Puno we cruise the highest navigatable lake in the world and step on on the floating reed islands of Uros and the island of Taquile with no cars and an incredible weaving tradition of Peru.
The highlight of our tour cumulates in Cusco, the Unesco's world heritage city with its Inca and colonial centre, onto the Sacred Valley and our hike to Machu Picchu.

Day 1 Arrival in Lima
On arrival to Lima, our representative will wait for you at the airport to transfer you to your hotel. For customers arriving in the late evening we offer the option to upgrade to the four star Costa del Sol Hotel which is direclty connected to the airport. If you opt for the airport hotel make your own way over to the hotel and check in. You will find that the hotel is just a short walk from the airport arrival lounge. Please collect your Chaska Tours holiday hotel vouchers that will be waiting for you at the reception desk of the Hotel.

Day 2 Lima - Paracas
Early morning transfer from your hotel to the bus station where you will board your VIP cruise-coach to Paracas. The bus departs at 7.30 a.m. taking you along the coastal road to Paracas arriving at 11.00 a.m. On your arrival to Paracas we will take you to your hotel, after your check in, after lunch you will have the afternoon to relax.

Day 3 Ballestas Islands and the National Reserve of Paracas
This morning at a convenient time we will pick you up at your hotel for your excursion to the Ballestas Islands. In Peru people call the Ballestas islands, the “small Galapagos” because of its abundant wildlife. It will take about 45 minutes to get to the Islands by boat; here we can observe the hundreds of sea lions and seals; they swim around our boats and lie on the small beaches of the islands. A large variety of seabirds are found here, flamingos, pelicans, boobies, cormorants and many others. After exploring the Ballestas islands we continue with an excursion to the National Reserve of Paracas we visit the "Mirador de Lobos", "The Catedral", Lagunillas and Yumaque beaches, "La Aguada" and "El Obelisco de la Independencia".
After visiting this places we will return to our hotel in Ica where we have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4 Paracas - to Nazca
This morning will be at leisure, you can relax around your hotel pool until your evening cruiser-bus to Nazca (There are other excursions available to do in case you are interested, please consult us). The journey will take about two and a half hours passing through the desert plains to Nazca. On our arrival we will be taken to our hotel.

Day 5 Nazca Lines - Chauchilla Cemetery and kantalloc - Overnight Bus to Arequipa
This morning you have the chance to take an optional tour, a flight over the Nazca Lines and in the afternoon we start our excursion to Nazca including the amazing aqueducts of Kantalloc and the ceramic and gold processing ateliers.
Evening comfortable bus-ride on sleeper seats at 10 p.m. for our journey to Arequipa.
Hotel in Nazca for day use included.

Day 6 Arequipa
On your arrival to Arequipa we will take you to your hotel where you can relax the rest of the morning.
Afternoon city tour. We will visit the Main Square, Yanahuara church and observatory, Arequipa´s most important churches, like San Francisco, the Compañia de Jesus’ famous cloisters, colonial houses, and a special visit to the Santa Catalina Convent and Cloisters.

Day 7 Colca Canyon first day
Transfer to Colca Canyon. Drive across Pampa Cañahuas at the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, habitat of herds of vicuñas and stops at the Mirador de los Andes, the crater of Chucura, the Mirador de Chivay, where beautiful pre-columbian terraces are still being cultivated by native Collaguas can be observed. Arrival at the town of Chivay and transfer to your hotel. Free time to enjoy the hot springs.

Day 8 Colca Canyon second day
Morning departure to the "Condor's Cross" from where the great Andean bird, the Condor, may be seen, usually flying in circles above the canyon. On the way back to Chivay, we will visit the Mirador of Chinina, where we will find the famous Hanging Tombs.

Day 9 Colca Canyon to Puno
After breakfast we have the morning free to relax before we board our afternoon bus to Puno ( Departure at 1.30 p.m. arrival around 6 p.m.). Free Evening

Day 10 Lake TiticacaToday we will leave for the port where a boat awaits us to visit one of the highest lakes in the world (3800 meters / 12467.19 feet). We will explore the floating island of Uros inhabited by traditional fisherman.
We continue the tour to the island of Taquile where the local people are experts in traditional weaving techniques. Return to Puno and transfer to your hotel.Overnight in PunoBreakfast included
Day 11 Puno to CuscoBus to CuscoTransfer to the bus station for your first class bus ride to Cusco, You will visit four archaeological sites along the way.Upon arrival to Cusco we will take you to your hotel.Places you will visit are:Pukara, wher you will find interesting litho-sculptures belonging to the civilization of the same name.La Raya, the highest point and the limit between Puno and Cusco where we can admire beautiful snow capped mountains.Raqchi, an incredible temple built of adobe and dedicated to worship the God Wiracocha.The church of Andahuaylillas known as the "Sistine Chapel of America". It is known as one of the best- preserved examples of Andean religious art.Lunch is served at a local restaurant halfway in Sicuani.Breakfast and lunch included.Overnight in CuscoAlternative option: Laketiticaca TrainTravel in style on the Laketiticaca train to Cusco. Morning transfer to the local train station of Puno where the train operated by Peru Rail is waiting for your spectacular rail journey to Cusco, which runs on the shores of Lake Titicaca. The glass-walled observation coach provides the perfect opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The journey is broken by a scenic stop at La Raya, which is also the highest point on the route. First class lunch is served aboard the train in style. Day 12 City tour of CuscoIn the morning your guide will meet you at your hotel for your private alternative city tour, including two archaeological sites. We visit the market of San Pedro, a vibrant, colourful market that gives you an inside look at the local culture of Peru then we move to the impressive Qoricancha temple and then take a short walk through the typical streets of Cusco visiting the Cathedral in the main square and then continuing to see the famous 12 angle stone. From this point our car will take us to the megalithic site of Sacsayhuaman and then Qenko. Finishing back at your hotel, the rest of the afternoon is free. This is a good moment to buy souvenirs since Cusco offers some fine Alpaca wool garment, silver jewelry, and other fine handicrafts.Overnight in CuscoBreakfast included
Day 13 Sacred Valley of the IncasToday we start from your hotel our full day excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We visit the colorful handicraft market of Pisac. At Pisac we can enjoy a handicraft market which offers good opportunities to buy local art. We continue to Urubamba where a buffet lunch is served. After lunch we continue to Ollantaytambo where we visit the Archaeological site. Ollantaytambo is an attractive little town located at the western end of the Sacred Valley. The town has been built on top of original Inca foundations and is the best surviving example of Inca town planning. The town is located at the foot of spectacular Inca ruins, which protected the strategic entrance to the lower Urubamba Valley. The temple area is at the top of steep terracing which helped to provide excellent defenses. At the end of our tour we check-in to our hotel in the Sacred Valley.Overnight in the Sacred ValleyBreakfast and lunch includedNote: The market days in Pisac are on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday on these days people from the surrounding communities gather in Pisac to exchange or to sell their products. The other days you can still do the tour but only a small souvenir market is working.
Day 14 short Inca trail or Train to Machu PicchuThis morning yu will be taken to the train station of Ollantaytambo to board the train to the starting point of the trail. We disembark at Km 104 and begin the hike through the recently discovered ancient trail to Machu Picchu. We cross the Vilcanota (Urubamba) River climbing up through abundant vegetation that is home to hundreds of bird and orchid species. We' will emerge from the cloud forest at Wiñaywayna which is a beautiful ceremonial site divided into two sectors and fashioned from finely-carved stones fitted together with great precision. We continue our hike to the Sun Gate where we' wil get our first views of Machu Picchu. Here, the final stretch of the royal Inca trail will take us to the citadel itself, hidden in undergrowth for four centuries and now laid out for our appreciation. From the Sanctuary we will take a bus to Aguas Calientes town where we will spend the night in our hotel.Overnight in Aguas Calientes townBreakfast and box lunch includedNote:

Day 15 Machu PicchuThis day, we start early, after taking breakfast with our guide we take the bus up to the citadel of Machu Picchu on time to catch the fist rays of sunlight over the citadel. Our guide will slowly show you around the main areas,explaining some theories abut the building techniques the Incas used and recounting myths and legends passed down over the centuries. After the tour you will have plenty of time to look around maybe do some of the other treks which are available in the surrounding mountains. At noon, it will be time to have lunch in town and at a convenient time you have to be at the train station to board the return train to Ollantaytambo station and then a transfer back to Cusco.Overnight in CuscoBreakfast included
Day 16 Fly to LimaThis is your last day in Cusco, in the morning you will be taken to Cusco airport for your flight to Lima.Breakfast included.End of our program.Option for Lima:
On arrival to Lima our representative will meet you at the exit gate to take you directly to leave your luggage at the airport luggage storage. From the airport you will be transferred to the drop off, pick up point in Miraflores in front of the Marriott Hotel. You have free time for lunch. In the afternoon you will be picked up from the drop off, pick up point, in front of Marriott hotel for your guided Lima city tour in group service. After the tour you will be dropped back to Marriott Hotel were you have free time until your evening scheduled transfer returning to the airport for your international flight.

Andenes Al Cielo
Hotel Andenes al Cielo is the perfect combination of a guesthouse and a modern hotel.
