Hotel Inkallpa in the Sacred Valley is a wonderful new hotel located in a small community called Yanahuara, about 20 minutes from the train station in Ollantaytambo. It took the Peruvian family, the Mayos, two years to construct this little paradise and they have operated this hotel from the beginning.

While at Hotel Inkallpa, surrounded by mountains and silence, it will certainly feel like you're very far away from the civilization, but no....with a simple 20 minute drive you're at the Ollantaytambo train station, from where your train leaves to Machupicchu.

At the end of July, their spa will also be ready and so you will have the opportunity to order a massage or to take a bath in their Jacuzzi.

A small river, complete with fountains and waterfalls, runs through the green fields and makes sure the flowers are showing their finest colors throughout the year. When lucky, the fruit trees are in bloom upon your check in and you can pick your own peaches, raspberries are any other fruit growing on the property.

Because of its lovely climate and beautiful scenery, the Sacred Valley is an excellent place to practice outdoor sports like horse riding, white water rafting, mountain biking, and paragliding or rock climbing. All these activities can be done in just one day with the start and end from Hotel Inkallpa. After a day full of activities and upon your return to the hotel, one suggestion would be to get a massage before going to your room to enjoy the sunset falling down over the Sacred Valley of the Inca's from your balcony with a glass of wine.
