We initiate our journey with a visit of the Colonial center of Lima, declared a Unesco World Heritage. Here we are welcomed at the Casa Aliaga, a unique example of colonial house with 480 years of history. From Lima we travel to Arequipa, the white city where we visit the Santa Catalina Convent, which is like a secluded city in the city. From Arequipa we journey to Colca Canyon one of the largest canyon in the America’s with breathtaking views, herds of llama’s alpaca’s, vicunas and their traditionally dressed inhabitants.

Before traveling to Puno we can spot the condor, often from close range, the largest bird of the Americas with a wingspan of 3 mtrs (~ 10 ft). In Puno we spend the night at the Titilaka Boutique hotel located at a private peninsula on the shores of Lake Titicaca.
Journey in style on the Titicaca train to Cusco whilst enjoying the great views of the Andes mountains. In Cusco our personal guide takes us on a walking tour to reveal the rich colonial and Inca constructions in this Unesco heritage town. This morning is free to relax and may be take a stroll along the bay of Miraflores.

In the afternoon we collect you for an exclusive exploration of Lima, presenting a combination of the different attractions in Lima and its three historical periods: pre-Hispanic, colonial and contemporary.
Lima’s colonial center is declared world heritage site by Unesco. We will visit the colonial sites of the Plaza Mayor, the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Archibishop’s Palace. Right after we visit the San Francisco Monastery and Catacombs. We continue to modern section and visit the suburbs of San Isidro and Miraflores. On our way we will pass by the Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca pyramid shaped temple.

After the founding of Lima on January 18th, 1535, Captain Jerónimo de Aliaga y Ramírez received a colonial house in the elegant area near the house of Francisco Pizarro, the Spanish Conqueror, (today the Government Palace). Ever since then the Aliaga family and their descendants have lived in the house, thus making it the oldest dwelling in the Americas that has been home to the same family for 17 generations. The mansion has served for almost five centuries to Lima’s history. Its artistic value emerges from the beauty of its interior space, the poetic and evocative of their environments and the original distribution of the rooms. As you wander through the beautiful rooms of this old mansion one can enjoy both the Colonial and Republican history of the city of Lima.

At the end of this tour we will drop you off at one of Peru’s best restaurants to enjoy the culinary delights of Peru’s capital.

On your arrival to Arequipa we will take you to your hotel where you can relax the rest of the morning.

Well known as the “White City” due to the color of its buildings made from sillar (white volcanic stone), and a picturesque colonial structure, this city has been declared a world heritage site by UNESCO; it is surrendered with an impressive snowy mountains and volcanoes (Misti, Chachani, Pichu Pichu) and the Colca Canyon one of the world’s deepest canyons.

The department of Arequipa is also geographically varied with Andean valleys a several nature reserves and beautifully natural landscapes which became in an interesting place to visit.

Afternoon city tour. We will visit the Main Square, Yanahuara church and observatory, Arequipa´s most important churches, like San Francisco, the Compañia de Jesus’ famous cloisters, colonial houses, and a special visit to the Santa Catalina Convent and Cloisters.

Note: Optionally you can add a visit to the museum Santuarios Andinos located at La Merced to visit Juanita – the Ice Princess» who was discovered in 1995 by Johan Reinhard, an American Archeologist and his Peruvian climbing partner Zarate during an expedition, just below the peak of the Ampato Mountain. Juanita had been well preserved in ice for more than 500 years before volcanic activity melted the surrounding snow.

Transfer to Colca Canyon in private car driving across Pampa Cañahuas at the Aguada Blanca National Reserve, habitat of herds of vicuñas and stopping at the Mirador de los Andes, the crater of Chucura, the Mirador de Chivay, where beautiful pre-columbian terraces still being cultivated by native Collaguas can be observed. Arrival at the town of Chivay transfer to hotel. Free time to enjoy the hot springs.

Enjoy a delicious breakfast before boarding your boat at 8:30am to start Islands of Lake Titicaca Excursion. We explore the Uro-Aymara communities to grow personally acquainted with the skilled reed craftsmen and expert weavers. After a wonderful time, we continue to Taquile the Quechua people. We will admire their textile weavings unique to the area and recently included in UNESCO’s Masterpieces. We will enjoy lunch outdoors in nature as you soak in the grandeur of Puno’s deep blue skies mirrored across Lake Titicaca with views of Bolivia’s Cordillera Real, or Royal mountain Range, in the background. Return to our hotel at 5:30pm. Then enjoy cocktails and dinner.

Enjoy another full day at Lake Titicaca and select your preferred excursion for today, you can choose out of a variety of half day, 1/4-day excursions and combine or take the suggested Aymara Route.

The Aymara Route excursion, spanning a whole day, entails growing acquainted with the geography, neighboring communities, nature, and privileged views of the Chucuito peninsula and Acora. Delve into pre-Incan times in the legends and stones your guide will offer and learn about Lake Tilticaca’s importance in the local worldview and means of subsistence. Grow closely acquainted with the unique interconnectedness of man and nature surviving to this day.
Be it by car, on a bike, or by foot, make your way through the paths meandering through open fields a. pastures. Reaching the privileged views of natural lookouts, enjoy the lake, extensive reach. As part of the excursion, guests will see the lodge, neighboring communities and locals engaging in daily labors, birds in their varying ecosystems, archeological remains, a. astonishing landscapes. Travel in style on the Titicaca train to Cusco. Morning transfer to the local train station of Puno where the train operated by Peru Rail is waiting for your spectacular rail journey to Cusco, which runs on the shores of Lake Titicaca. The glass-walled observation coaches provide the perfect opportunity to view the beautiful scenery. The journey is broken by a scenic stop at La Raya, which is also the highest point on the route.? First class lunch is served aboard the train in style.? A music and fashion show and a bar-tending lesson will also be part of your experience aboard.
On arrival in Cusco we take you to your hotel.

In the morning your guide will come to collect you from your hotel for your privately guided City Tour, including 2 archeological sites. We visit the market of San Pedro, a vibrant, colourful Andean market giving you an inside look at the local culture of Peru then we move on to the impressive Qoricancha temple and then take a short stroll through the atmospheric streets of Cusco visiting the Cathedral in the main square and then on to see the famous 12 angle Inca stone. From here our car will takes us to the megalithic site of Sacsayhuaman and then Qenko and then We will visit the house of Sulca to see the lovely textiles made by hand. We will finish back at your hotel so you can enjoy the rest of the afternoon free.

Today enjoy a free day in Cusco visiting museums or simply walking down the picturesque streets around the City center. You can get to know the typical neighborhoods of San Cristobal and San Blas where Artisans congregate their shops and galleries, the cheerful and energy of this walk will make you feel the real essence of the City.

It will be a great chance to do shopping as Cusco is well known for its world-famous Alpaca wood clothing not only for their quality but for their design, also you will find Silver and gold shops for fine jewelry and a great offer for handicrafts.

At the end of the afternoon, we recommend you to make a stop to drink a refreshing and delicious Pisco Sour, Peru’s National cocktail. All around Cusco’s city center you will find numerous Bars, Cafes and Restaurants to have a taste of the Peruvian cuisine within a nice atmosphere. We will provide you with a listing of our recommended restaurants and if needed we will book your preferred restaurant in advance for you.

At 8.00 a.m. we set off from Cusco heading up and over the highlands towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We arrive at Pisac situated along the Urubamba River and continue to the Indigenous community where the inhabitants still practice in their customs and habits the ancestral knowledge.

Today you will participate in an Ethnobotanical tour to learn about the secrets of the traditional medicine plants of the Andes based on this ancestral knowledge.

Peru is one of the countries with the highest use of medicinal plants in the world. Even to this day they are still revealing new plants and their uses already known in the past but forgotten in the labyrinths of history. Discover the ancient wealth of knowledge collected about these plants and how they help the daily life of local people.

Experience the healing secrets and hidden beliefs after years of tradition transmitted over the generations, and learn to provide treatment for common diseases. After learning to use plants in their most traditional form, discover how to turn them into ointments, syrups and soaps.

Program activities: Interpretation of Ethnobotany, starting the process, Harvest flowers and leaves of wild plants, preparation plasters, preparation of ointments, preparation of candy.
Afterwards, we will have an opportunity to share some time with the lovely Indigenous children and their families and then we continue to Urubamba where lunch is served. Enjoy a delicious Peruvian lunch in the Wayra Restaurant hile watching a Peruvian Paso horseshow.
After lunch we continue on to Ollantaytambo where we visit the Archeological site. Ollantaytambo is an attractive little town located at the western end of the Sacred Valley. The town has been built on top of original Inca foundations and is the best surviving example of Inca town planning. The town is located at the foot of some spectacular Inca ruins, which protected the strategic entrance to the lower Urubamba Valley. The temple area is at the top of steep terracing which helped to provide excellent defenses. At the end of our tour we check-in to our hotel in the Sacred Valley.

We start the day early and you will be collected from your hotel by your personal guide for your adventure to different historical and magical places in the Sacred Valley.
We first go to Chinchero high up in the green valley plains of Anta (3760m) which offers spectacular views of the Sacred Valley. The mud-brick village contains some interesting sites including an adobe-colonial church, ancient ruins and agro-terracing and the main plaza houses a huge wall built by the Incas, who used the area as a country retreat. Chinchero villagers are well known for their excellent weaving skills and will happily demonstrate the complete process starting with the llama and alpaca wool to the beautiful end results which can take a weaver month finalize.
We then visit Maras – a little adobe town situated in a beautiful secluded part of the Valley, Moray – the magnificent agricultural terraces, thought to have been an Incan laboratory in order to investigate and improve Andean farming techniques and Salineras (salt pans) – a stunning & beautiful salt farming system. We then stop for your lunch at the beautiful Hacienda Huayo Ccari. This hacienda is still owned by the descendants and it is one of the few family-owned haciendas in the Valley.

We invite you for a private tour of the on-site museum of Colonial and pre-Columbian artwork. In the afternoon we take a Peruvian Paso horse horse-ride through the picturesque Sacred Valley, along the Vilcanota river and through the vast areas of farmland and countryside trails. En route we visit an ancient village whose origins are lost in time. After this relaxing ride we check in to the hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Morning transfer to the train station and board the Belmond Hiram Bingham train for a journey in an unforgettable style and luxury to the city of the lost Inca’s.

The Hiram Bingham was selected the best train in the world by the readers of Condé Nast Traveller. The carriages are decorated in the style of 1920s Pullman carriages, each has been furnished in polished wood and brass with large comfortable armchairs.
You will be invited to enjoy a gastronomic lunch, specially created by our onboard chef.

On arrival to Aguas Calientes your guide will escort you to your hotel which is located right next to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary. After your check in you will have a quiet guided tour, with less crowds and the chance to see the amazing sunrise.

With your Official guide you will visit the enigmatic Citadel of Machu Picchu following a specific route where you will walk through the different sectors such as the Urban and Ceremonial and other places of interest. You will also have time for taking memorable pictures. We are sure that this will be a unique experience!

The Citadel of Machu Picchu was declared by UNESCO a world heritage in 1983. It is believed to have been built in the 15th century and abandoned by the Inca Empire when the Spaniards conquered them. The locals always knew about the ruins and some locals lived around it. The ruins were brought to the world’s attention in 1911. Visit the Sun Temple, the Room of the Three Windows, the Royalty sector and more.

Note: New regulations have been stablished for the visit to Machu Picchu since 2019, according to these statements there are certain schedules for the visit, with the Machu Picchu ticket you can stay 4 hours as maximum in the Citadel. Please notice that Machu Picchu is open from 6:00 am to 5:30pm. aumentar

Today you will have free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own pace.

Optionally you could climb the Huayna Picchu or the Machu Picchu Mountain Peak. This short trek inside the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu will make your day spectacular! You will hike up through Inca’s original paths that will lead you towards magical places within the Cloud Forest. With every step you will get fascinated by the beautiful views of the famous Andean Mountains. You can have a taste of the real Inca Trail doing this trek and appreciate the architectonic magnificence of the Incas. You have to see it with your own eyes!

Please make sure you check out of your hotel before you leave for the Sanctuary and to pick up your luggage and to be at the train station half an hour before your train’s departure.

Note: Tickets are subject to availability. There are schedules for the visit to one of the Mountains, with the Machu Picchu + Huayna Picchu tickets you can stay inside the Park for 6 hours and with the Machu Picchu + Machu Picchu Mountain Peak ticket for 7 hours maximum. The visit for one of the mountains has a moderate grading that requires a good physical condition although effort is well worth it. The Huayna Picchu hike is easier and takes less time than Machu Picchu Mountain Peak.

Canopy walk: A five-minute boat ride takes you to the Canopy Inkaterra Interpretation Center. After ascending the first tower, at 29 meters above the forest floor, you will walk for one and a half hours along the suspension bridges that link the eight platforms, on the look-out for giant strangler fig trees, orchids, toucans, woodpeckers, trogons and, with luck, monkeys or a three-toed sloth. Descent by the second tower and then, a 30-minute walk takes you to a nearby area of wetlands, an important rainforest ecosystem that is host to unique plants and birds.

After breakfast we board for a 35-minute motorboat ride from the lodge taking you to the magic world of Gamitana Creek. The sights, scents and sounds of the jungle will surround you as you walk for two and a half hours, rambling through the rain forest along the banks of this winding, dark-water creek that is home to piranha, caimans, turtles and an abundance of brightly colored birds.
When you reach the embarkation point, board a canoe and navigate your way back downstream, appreciating the rich plant and animal life along the way. You will return to Gamitana Farm in time for a well-earned picnic lunch, followed by a short-guided tour to learn about the workings of this farm.

Enjoy a full breakfast before departure on a 45-minute return boat trip on the Madre de Dios River to Puerto Maldonado. Transportation to the airport and flight Puerto Maldonado/Lima.Depending on your arrival time and departure time of your international flight back home you can wait at the airport or leave your luggage at the airport storage. Our representative will collect you from the exit gate and we will transfer you to Miraflores or drop you off at one of the selected restaurant s which we have reserved in advance for you for an exquisite farewell lunch. After lunch you have time for shopping together with your personal assistant. You have then free time until your transfer back to the airport.

At the requested hour you will be collected in front of the designated pick-up point and together with your personal assistant you will be transferred to the airport for your international flight.
