Adventure Journeys
These programs combine cultural activities and adventure like
sand-boarding and dune-buggy in the desert of Ica, treks in the
Colca Canyon, the Inca Trail in Cusco, Kayaking in the highest lake in the world, downhill mountain biking to Lares, Parapente in Lima or the Sacred Valley, walks in the cities and more according to
Peruvian employment law.

transportation, for example luxury cruises down the river of Iquitos

Classic programs
With the classic programs, we visit the most popular places like
Machu Picchu, Nazca Lines, the city of Cusco, etc. These programs
are offered in private or group services.
Adventure Treks
One of our treks, is the famous Inca Trail which will take you through royal Inca trails that lead you to the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, a unique experience. Our other alternative treks, will also take you through spectacular scenery and come in contact with the Apu (sacred mountains) and with indigenous communities. Our staff of guides, porters, wranglers, camp cooks were born for adventure and are waiting to share their ancestral knowledge. Chaska Tours is a licensed Inca Trail Operator.

Transportation
We use modern, comfortable and fully equipped mini vans, sprinters and buses. To move from one city to another we use public transportation, inter-provincial, trains, and domestic flights. Speedboats are used for the Ballestas Island and Lake Titicaca Tours. In the jungle we use motorized canoes and boats. We go on foot for some parts during city tours and we have fully hiking adventures in the mountains. The inter-provincial buses are comfortable, for example when taking an overnight bus of aprox.. 10 hours from Nazca to Arequipa, we reserve comfort reclining seats.
Accommodations
We offer excellent comfortable hotels from 2 stars to 5 stars in safe areas and close to the city centers. Our sales representatives will recommend the best hotels for the category chosen. Some tours will offer an opportunity to choose a homestay with a local family for example at Lake Titicaca, Amantani Island and in other Indigenous Communities in Cusco, where you will have a unique cultural experience. In the Amazon you will stay in an eco-lodge or a boat when doing a cruise. Our prices for tour packages are per person and quoted based on double occupancy.
Excursions
All of our excursions are programmed according to opening and closing hours, accompanied by a tour guide in your chosen language, in private or shared group services. Before starting a trek you receive a briefing at least 2 days before the event. For the treks and walking tours around the city we recommend good walking shoes, hat, sunblock, warm jacket or vest.
Meals
All breakfasts are included but if you leave your hotel very early in the morning, you may not be able to have breakfast. Other meals like lunch, box lunch or dinner are included in some tours, for example during the Sacred Valley tours,
Amazon excursions, Cruises, and adventure treks. In general we do not include lunch nor dinner because we would like you to experiment with the local cuisine. After confirming your booking we will send you some recommendations. In our itineraries we indicate which meals are included daily.
Staff
We have professional travel consultants who will assist you at all times. On request, a Tour Leader will accompany you during your journey. Our Tour Leaders and tourist guides are passionate about our culture, are very knowledgeable, speak fluent English and will have detailed information about each location visited. They will make sure you enjoy each place to its fullest. According to your preferences we also offer guides in other languages.
Medical Assistant
All of our travelers must make sure they are in good health before traveling. They must bring their own prescription drugs and make us aware of any disability etc. We carry a first aid kit and oxygen on treks but do not provide personal prescriptions. We highly recommend each traveler to buy a travel insurance covering all destinations and activities included in your travel package.

You can choose from a wide variety of hotels and accommodations, like basic hostels, Economic hotels, Comfort hotels, Luxury hotels, lodges and staying with local families.
Choose your transport
Our travel consultants will explain to you what transportation options we have to travel from one city to another. On some routes we recommend taking a domestic flight or where possible a local or inter-provincial bus or train. It depends on the itinerary, for example to travel to Puno you have several options: travel by flight, or taking a tourist bus visiting different tourist places on route or choose to travel by train to appreciate the beauty of the landscapes during a relaxing ride.
For Machu Picchu you also have the choice between different kind of train services, like Vistadome or Expediton Train, Hiram Bingham Luxury Train, Executive class or First class train and Sacred Valley Train. Each type of train has specific departure times. We always look for the best option to match your itinerary.
