On your arrival to Lima, make your own way over to the four-star airport Hotel and check in. You will find that the hotel is just a short walk from the airport arrival lounge. Please pick up your Chaska Tours holiday hotel vouchers at the reception desk of the Hotel.

Walk back to the airport Hotel or transfer to the airport for your Flight to Puerto Maldonado.
We will be waiting for your arrival in Puerto Maldonado ready to start your Amazon tour. We will go by boat to the jungle lodge and on arrival you will have free time to settle in. Your lunch will be served in the main dining room and in the afternoon you will enjoy a guided walk along a special nature trail. In the evening you will have a twilight river excursion followed by cocktails and dinner on the lovely lodge grounds.
Transfer to Lima airport for your flight to Puerto Maldonado. We will be waiting for your arrival in Puerto Maldonado for the start of your Amazon tour and we check-in at the Butterfly house & lounge. We then travel to our Overnights by motorized canoe along the Madre de Dios River to the lodge (approximately 25-minute). We then take a buffet lunch with organic ingredients and native flavours. After lunch we take a nature trail walk where you will discover and learn about primary and secondary rainforest, its components, uses, transformations by the human being, and its relevance for the world. At dusk navigate on a canoe in a twi-light excursion. Boating on the Madre de Dios River, you will learn about its ecosystems, Amazon creeks, nocturnal animals’ behavior and the southern constellations. Back to the main building for dinner.

This day you can stay in bed or get up early – breakfast begins at 5:30 a.m. to avoid the heat and enjoy nature at its fullest. You will start the excursion to Sandoval lake in the Tambopata National Reserve. From there you will return to your lodge for lunch. After lunch you will take the Canopy Walk and you have the option to extend your excursion so as to appreciate the sunset from one of the high canopy towers. From there you will return to the Amazon Lodge. Cocktails are served in the main dining room or during the evening nature presentation in the Eco-Media Center. Dinner starts at 7:30 p.m. with the evening to relax.

After breakfast we say goodbye to the lodge (extra days are possible under request) and we return to Puerto Maldonado, visiting the Butterfly farm along the way to the airport. We fly from Puerto Maldonado to Cusco and on arrival to Cusco a staff member will take you to the VIP lounge were a Chaska Tours representative will be waiting for you. Here our representative will give you a fully-personalized briefing, whilst waiting for your luggage to arrive this is a good moment to ask questions and get orientated. From the airport you will be transferred to your hotel in Cusco. The rest of the afternoon is free to relax or if you prefer you can explore the city.

Cusco was once the capital of the Incas Empire where you will learn more about the Andean culture as the city itself represents the center of indigenous Quechua culture.
Today you will have the morning free to relax and acclimatize.
In the afternoon your guide will meet you to visit the Inca city delegated by UNESCO as a world heritage in 1983.
First we will visit the Cathedral of Cusco on the Plaza de Armas and continuously the temple of Qoricancha, also known as the temple of the Sun. After these visits, we will continue to the upper part of Cusco to visit several archaeological sites. The first stop will be at Sacsayhuaman, a ceremonial complex of the Incas. We will also visit Qenqo, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay. At the end, we will return to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel.
Note: In private service you will first have a tour by foot through the city, visiting Qoricancha the Inca Sun Temple, the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral, enjoying the atmosphere of the city by observing the well-preserved colonial architecture that conserves Incas original stone walls, evidence of a rich and complex history. We will continue our way until we get to San Pedro Central Market where the locals shop for Andean grains, fruits, natural medicine plants and more. Afterwards, drive up above Cusco for a visit of the spectacular Sacsayhuaman Inca complex with stupendous stonework, Qenko a place of rituals and then we will visit the house of Sulca to see the lovely textiles made by hand.

This morning we start your full day excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will visit the colorful handicraft market of Pisac and in the afternoon the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo. At Pisac we can enjoy a small typical Andean market where people gather to exchange their products, the other part of the market,offers good opportunities to buy some handicrafts. Then we will continue to the city of Urubamba, where a buffet lunch will be served. After lunch we continue to Ollantaytambo where we visit the Archaeological site. Ollantaytambo is an attractive little town located at the western end of the Sacred Valley. The town has been built on top of original Inca foundations and is the best surviving example of Inca town planning. The town is located at the bottom of spectacular Inca ruins, which protected the strategic entrance to the lower Urubamba Valley. The temple area is at the top of steep terracing which helped to provide excellent defenses. At the end of our tour we check-in to our hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Km. 82(starting point of the Inca Trail)– Wayllabamba campsite
The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is considered one of the best trails for trekking in the entire world, and the most well-known of all the Inka Trails, it is a scenic road with the Andean indescribable beauty running along the days of this adventure, exploring enigmatic archaeological sites which can only be reached by foot.
Thanks to the researches we can know that Machu Picchu was connected to the Incas Empire through the Qhapaq Ñan, the Inca road network which was a system of roads that linked the most important points of the immense empire. These paths were built with excellent structure, in harmony with its surroundings and having a great aesthetic in its construction.
Today we will have an early start with a pick up from your hotel in The Sacred Valley for your transfer to the trail head at Km 82 (2,600 mts/ 8,530 feet) on the way to Machu Picchu. Along the road you will be able to observe the spectacular flora and fauna including over 250 types of orchids, 450 species of birds and if you are lucky the spectacled bear.
We will begin our trek by hiking along the left bank of the Vilcanota river, overlooked by the summit of the Veronica mountain (5,900 mts / 19,000 ft.). This day our trek will be liugh

Wayllabamba – Pacaymayu
We will trek upward through native forest to Pacaymayu – the highest campsite of the Inca Trail. Today will be one of the most demanding days of the trail as we will be ascend to the mountain pass of Warmiwanuska (Dead Woman´s Pass at 4,200 mts /13,750 ft). At this point we will be rewarded with spectacular views of the peaks of Huayanay to the east, and the rugged Vilcabamba range to the west. Afterwards, we will descend to our campsite at Pacaymayu (3,600 mts / 11,808 ft).

Pacaymayu – Winay Wayna
Today, we will cross a second mountain pass at 4,000 mts / 13,100 ft and follow a finely-paved and well-preserved portion of the Inca trail to the restored archaeological site of Sayacmarka. This section of the Inca Trail is paved with white granite and traverses a thickly forested slope. We will camp at Wiñaywayna (2650 mts / 8692 ft) after a spectacular descent from the cloud forest and high jungle. Wiñaywayna is a beautiful ceremonial site divided into two sectors and buit with finely-carved stones that were fit together with great precision.

WinayWayna – Machu Picchu
Orchids and hummingbirds are a common sight along this stretch of the Inca Trail and the Urubamba river is a constant presence far below us. From Wiñaywayna we will continue to the place known as Intipunku or The Sun Gate, from where we will see Machupicchu for the first time stretched out below on a rocky outcropping, here is where you can take the classic vista of the citadel. Overlooking the citadel, you will find the peak known as Huayna Picchu. From here, we need only to walk down the final stretch of the royal trail and enter to the last enigmatic citadel, which laid hidden for four centuries before being revealed to the world by a casual discovery.
You will have time to walk in the site accompanied by your guide, who will provide you information about the theories expalining the cosntruction of the citadel and the possible reasons of its abandoning. In the afternoon you will return to Cusco by train, arriving in the late evening.

It is time to say goodbye to Cusco, at a scheduled time, we will transfer you to Cusco airport for your flight to Lima and connect with your international flight.

On arrival to Lima our representative will meet you from the exit gate, it is advisable that you go straight over to leave your luggage in the airport storage.
Then you will be transferred to the drop off/pick up point in Miraflores in front of the Marriott Hotel. You will have free time for lunch.
In the early afternoon you will be picked up from in the drop off/Pick up point in front of the Marriott hotel for your guided Lima city tour in group service.
We first visit Lima’s Historical Center, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1988, and a Cultural Patrimony in 1991.
We will visit the colonial sites of the Plaza Mayor, the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Archibishop’s Palace. Right after we visit the San Francisco Monastery and Catacombs. We continue to modern section and visit the suburbs of San Isidro and Miraflores. On our way we will pass by the Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca pyramid shaped temple.
Then we will visit the Parque del Amor (Lovers Park) and enjoy refreshing views of the Pacific Ocean as we drive down to the Miraflores Malecon, a road overlooking the ocean. At the end of the tour you will be dropped back to Marriott Hotel were you have free time until your evening scheduled transfer to return to the airport for your international flight.
